HG Khorana was an Indian American Biochemist who shared 1968 Nobel prize for Physiology or Medicine with Robert and Marshall. He was born on January 9, 1922 in Raipur, Pakistan (former India). Researcher Khorana studied in Punjab University, University of Liverpool and Cambridge university. He wrote many books on Chemical Biology. He dies on Novermber 9, 2011 in United states of America..

HG Khorana spent his life in doing research work in field of Biochemistry. He simplified the information on Nucleic acids, the sequence of nucleotide in Nucleic acid. Also, he worked for Enzyme Research Institution. Alongwith Government of India and university of Wisconsin, he launched Khonara Program in 2007.

Additionally, he was honored many a times for his work. In 2018, Google created a Doodle on his Birthday.
