3 Steps to find IP address of a device using CMD

CMD abbreviates for Command prompt. It is usually used to run certain commands by which we can identify the status of devices (on network level). To find out the IP address of any device, you must perform below steps:

Step 1. Open Command prompt. Open it by either of two ways:

              a) Go to Windows/Start button > type command prompt orCMD and hit Enter.

b) Press Ctr + R > type command prompt OR_cmd> click OK

Step 2. Type ipconfig and hit enter.

Step 3. IPv4 address will be the IP address of device.
